the latest la times street fashion assignment brought me to the slauson super mall, known by locals as the slauson swap meet. above are a few of the people i documented and you can check the intro and entire gallery on latimes.com with quotes to go along w/ each photograph. i even ran into fashion/music icon taz arnold (bottom photo).

the rest of my marathon shoot brought me back to the east side for a st patty's day themed boxing match at la live, MFG's Chamber Clothing Preview at Las Perlas, Jason Mercier's Ghetto Gloss opening, New Kingdom and Matter's performances during Foundtrack's New Noise night at Bar Lubitsch, and finally Wild Life at The Short Stop. full gallery up here on laweekly.com

my st. patrick's day started at casey's irish pub at 9am before a festival at 11am at la live. then it was off to the west side irish pubs for some green beer and a santa monica pub crawl until sun down. check the full gallery HERE and my after dark photo excursions are coming soon.

brand x magazine sent me to the machine project's 'eat bug eat' event friday night in echo park. it was a surreal experience to see all the live worms and larvae and the people who came to eat them. i sampled a few fried bugs myself, with my favorite being the worm that tasted just like bacon. check the online article here and the full gallery on latimes.com. also check your nearby newsstands for the latest brand x issue!

3/11 Downtown Art Walk & I Am A Laser for LA Weekly

i wandered the streets for hours last thurs night. some highlights included freestyle battling 3 emcees (hope that video doesn't surface!), drinking mezcal at las perlas, sampling the various food trucks, meeting and photographing the artists at the hive gallery and running into all you kids who were out and about. check the gallery up on laweekly.com

3/7 4th Annual Urban Iditarod for LA Weekly

the 'beta dogs' say: "The Los Angeles Urban Iditarod celebrated it's 4th anniversary with another epic event. While the weather had some doggie nerves rattling in the morning, by the start of the race the clouds had parted and the sun was shining down on the brave participants. 3/6 First Fridays @ Natural History Museum for LA Weekly

"The Natural History Museum kicked off another in its First Fridays series on March 5 with DJs Them Jeans and Shortee, and performances by bands Deer Tick and Everest. Attendees wandered between the main museum, the dance floor and the concert hall, soaking up the music while surrounded by taxidermied animal specimens.
