the Orange County Museum of Art brought me out to cover another great opening of theirs, this time the 2010 California Biennial featuring of ton of artists and great work. the photos above are from friday's members dinner and saturday night's reception.

10/22 President Obama @ USC's 'Moving America Forward' Rally for LA Weekly

yesterday i photographed one of the most inspiring leaders of our generation for the first time. a  diverse crowd of 37,500 watched Jamie Foxx host, Ozomatli perform, Barbara Boxer, Jerry Brown and Antonio Villaraigosa speak before President Obama took the mic and electrified the USC campus. full gallery UP HERE on laweekly.com.

10/21 Ludobites 6.0 Opening for LA Weekly

  

i stepped behind the scenes with ludo, krissy and the team to document the opening of their 6th roving ludobites installation. the reservations booked up in the first hour they were available but there is still hope since the patio is a 12 person first come/first serve communal table. based on the dishes i tasted i would definitely suggest swinging by to break bread with some friends and strangers. 10/15 LCD Soundsystem/Hot Chip after party @ RhondaVous for LA Weekly

James Murphy (top), Pat Mahoney and Gavin Russom from LCD Soundsystem took turns commanding the turn tables at A Club Called Rhonda's "RhondaVous" after party to their Hollywood Bowl show. Hot Chip members Felix Martin, Joe Goddard and Al Doyle (bottom) took over at around 2am and worked the crowd well into the morning hours. full gallery up HERE on laweekly.com.

10/10 Filter "Culture Collide" Block Party

the filter block party sunday in echo park featured performances by jenny lewis, phantogram and tokyo police club (top 3 photos) as well as a slew of other musicians. (also featured in the bottom photo is the lead singer from monotronix climbing a tree during his insane set that included dumping a full trash can on his drummer). some photos up on laweekly.com.

the Low End Theory stage provide the highlight of this year's Eagle Rock music festival with performances by the usual crew (as well as Nosaj Thing and Flying Lotus) and insane freestyles by Myka 9 (freestyle fellowship). the festival also featured Darker My Love, The Soft Pack, Egyptian Lover, Arabian Prince (NWA) and Rainbow Arabia. full gallery up on LAWeekly.com!
