5/23 Hall and Oates @ The Troubadour Day 2

Day two's show was even better, with a lively audience and a passionate performance by the legendary band. Look for that DVD in a few months and hopefully one of these photos will grace the cover!

5/22 Hall and Oates Reunion Show @ The Troubadour Day 1

Day one of the $200 per ticket Hall and Oates reunion show shot for Blaze TV's upcoming DVD on the duo. The Troubadour proved a perfect venue for the intimate performance (Hall and Oates first show in LA was at The Troubadour 35 years ago and they hadn't been back since). Slide Show:

5/17 Scion-United Event Extravaganza

After 7 days of fashion production it was time to shoot my own Vegas photographs and what better place than the Scion United event in Boulder City. The massive event featured all kinds of free gear and activities, 1,000 guests (Scion owners) 100 degree heat and some serious performances by Redman and Flow-Rida. Scion's slide show:

5/10-5/16 Producer for Italian Marie Claire

From Lake Powell to Las Vegas as on-site producer for Italian Marie Claire Magazine. I witnessed some amazing photos taken by Rennio Maifredi and can't wait to see the issue. Don't be deceived by this photo however... moments of free time were few and far between.

5/7 Scion House Party- 120 Days, Radioclit and Franki Chan

Back at it after a short hiatus was the Scion house party with some great stuff from 120 days, Radioclit and Franki Chan who opened it up on the turntables. Check my slide show to see all the action. Next up I'm off to Vegas to produce a 7 day fashion shoot for Italian Marie Claire and then to shoot a big Scion event featuring performances by Redman, Too Short and others. Another amazing adventure with Raining Jane and Sara Bareilles, this time traveling on Sara's new tour bus and hitting up 6 sold out venues in 10 days (from Milwaukee to Boston). Enjoy!

4/7- Bra Boys Movie Premiere

I braved my first red carpet for the Bra Boys premiere (tight documentary about an Australia surf gang) with around 25 other photographers all yelling and competing for the celeb's attention. Luckily since I was shooting for Berkela Films they brought me inside for the after-party with just a couple other photogs (one for Wire Image and one for Variety) and it settled down a lot. Overall a sweet event and the documentary looks amazing. It comes out Friday if anybody wants to roll. Slide show:

4/4 Kenter Canyon Auction

I decided to help Janelle raise some money for her school by donating my photography and a photo booth to their annual auction. Good times!

4/3- Royal Warhol Event, Main Street Store

Straight from Palm Springs to the Andy Warhol event at the new Royal Elastics store on Main Street. With some slick music from KCRW DJ Garth Trinidad and free drinks all night long it was another fun event and definitely worth the trip back into town. Slide show:

4/1 Assisting Stephen Wilkes @ Palm Spring's Photo Festival

Here is a slide show of my photos documenting Stephen Wilkes' workshop in Palm Springs (when I had a free second to snap some shots). The assisting experience overall was amazing, learning and helping out a true master in the field and meeting a bunch of up and coming photographers as well. Photos taken at Salton Sea and Salvation Mountain (above).

Spring Update- Photo News

I have been lucky enough to pick up some sweet new clients in the last few months, most notably: The Orange County Museum of Art (image on right), K-Swiss, NAMCO and Nintendo Wii (check the new Wii Ski box for one of my photos!) and Royal Elastics shoes.

Next week I will be helping out Stephen Wilkes with his 5 day workshop at the Palm Springs Photo Festival and hanging with some awesome photographers. After that is the music tour with Raining Jane (see below) so I'm off for most of April but will check back in soon with more updates!

Spring Update- Editorial

ISM Magazine's spring issue is coming out on March 29th! They're having a magazine release party complete with a photo booth and gallery, and you can buy a copy of the mag w/ a bunch of my photos (nick from Torsion fabrics featured above). Check the website for details.

Other recent photos of mine have been published in The L.A. Times, Scion Magazine, and Juxtapoz Magazine, along with a classic 30 ft billboard by USC with Josh Temkin's design and Seth Brown's ad slogan for Conquest Housing.

Spring Music News-
Raining Jane's new CD is out! We shot this CD cover in my studio a while back and it's great to see it come out along w/ the beautiful music inside. You can pick up a copy here: I will be heading back out on tour w/ Raining Jane, Sara Bareilles and Rachael Yamagata in mid April so keep an eye out for those photos.

San Diego based bill just dropped a sweet album as well. You can buy it on their website and see a slide show of photos from our recent promo shoot wandering around the city.

3/2 Engagement Photos- Sabrina and Chris

We headed to Griffith Park for Chris and Sabrina's engagement photos along with a gentle horse and their ridiculously cute dog. We definitely had fun and the animals were well behaved. Look for wedding photos in Sept!

3/1 School Fundraiser

After the Iditarod I raced over to a nearby hotel to shoot a nice fundraiser for Craig and 575 Productions. It was somewhat tame in comparison to the Iditarod, but still good times.

3/1 L.A. Urban Iditarod
