One of the most insane metal shows yet featured balcony stage diving and so much craziness on stage that at one point security backed off and decided it was every man for themself. Props to Pig Destroyer and Trash Talk for their energy.
Check back often for updates on Colin's photography adventures (click photos for slide shows).

I switched cameras and changed clothes (see entry below) before heading to Landmark Theater for Scion's VIP party and screening of their 10 sponsored indie films. The photos are featured in Vapors Mag and my Gallery.
Bassist Becky Gebhardt celebrated her birthday with a Raining Jane performance at House of Blues in downtown Disney. Guitar birthday cake, shots, fake tattoos... we had it all. Gallery:
Tom's Shoes and Element Skateboards combined for a new shoe line launch... for every pair of shoes bought one pair is donated to a child in need. Check it out and buy some gear! Some of my photos will be featured in the next Foam Magazine as well.
Friend, Survivor winner and musician Aras played his second show ever for a packed house at El Cid. I documented the band's rehearsal, dinner and live performance (gallery coming soon).
Scion's latest gallery installment (curated by Janine Bean) featured 11 crazy cool Germans and their artwork. More photos are up in my gallery.
Metromix had me go out on a rare red carpet adventure to document Paris Hilton and Brittany Snow in 30 tons of real snow at LAX (on their way to sundance). Was quite an experience! Check the Metromix gallery for more snow frolicking fun.

"To celebrate Scion's house party, DFA Records and The Juan MacLean brought their insane disco and acid house to the Roxy, while also premiering Yacht. If that weren't enough, L.A. twosome Classixx made an appearance and blew the roof right off the famous Sunset Strip club." (Quoted from Metromix's recap, check the full gallery of my photos up on their website)
The whole crew got together (Sara B and band, Raining Jane, Jon McLaughlin) for Javier's first solo performance in months. Cool venue, good vibes, great music.
The Rescues are a collaboration between three individual singer/songwriters, with emotional songs that consistently close out Gray's Anatomy and other shows. Here are two designs they came up with from our photo shoot.
Metromix sent me out to photograph Evolve's New Year's Eve warehouse party from 2-4:00am on Jan 1st. With tons of DJ's and cool outdoor lighting I had some fun in those first few hours of 2009. Check the gallery on Metromix.
I worked with LA Times writer Ramie Becker covering New Year's Eve parties at the Edison, Miss Kitty's (@ The Dragonfly), and an after hours warehouse. Check the article and photo gallery linked from the latimes.com homepage... oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Sara Bareilles had me come out to shoot her two homecoming performances in Eureka, CA. I stayed w/ the band at her dad's house and tried to capture a little bit of home. Gallery here: Above: Sara at sound check, Javier Dunn tosses a ball at Sara's old house, Josh Day w/ a beer before the show, and the band's performance.

Here is the finished artwork from Kyler England's recent album "Simple Machine" featuring photos that we shot earlier this year. Check her out @ www.kylerengland.com
DJ Zimmie needed some press photos and this one (pimped out by Matt Libby) will be featured in the January edition of Jenesis Magazine.

Fake Blood, Tommy Sunshine and Scotty B hit the Vanguard for the latest Scion house party. All 3 DJ's rocked it but Fake Blood tore the place down in his first LA performance. For photos of the DJ's and more crowd shots check the GALLERY
Above: People show dedication by waiting in the rain for the doors to open at the Scion Route "Chop Shop" screening before enjoying free beer and popcorn inside. A great film, then off to the Scion house party. GALLERY

Stacy Peralta's ("Dog Town and Z-Boys") amazing documentary about the Bloods and the Crips screened at the Stronghold and was attended by some of the original Z-Boys including Peralta himself who gave a Q+A. Check here to find out more about the film and here for my photo gallery.

Kevin Staniec and ISM Magazine came up with a cool project where talented artists created pieces about broken hearts. I photographed all of their art to be published in a book called "Untitled Love" along w/ short stories about their heartbreak. Here are two images from Saturday's book opening/signing at friend Evan Cerasoli's gallery (w/ more to come hopefully).
Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson (with Mai Bloomfield on cello) performed their amazing new song "Winter Song" together on Leno last night and I captured a few behind the scenes moments (my camera wasn't allowed anywhere near the stage). Here is a portrait of Sara and Ingrid in Sara's dressing room. Here's a gallery of photos and here is the Winter Song music video and performance (skip to 39:30).

Elina (writer for LATimes) and I jumped on one of 5 buses full of Santa Clauses, elves and Santa's Helpers and rode along the wild ride that is the Santacon pub crawl. Check the article and photo gallery on LATimes.com. And in case you 'Digg' it. CHECK THE 2010 EDITION on laweekly.com!
