9/27 "We The People" Festival

I headed downtown to document the "We The People" festival all day Saturday. It was an inspiring gathering of progressive minds, hip hop artists, dj's and other musicians and fans of music. Check out the slide show!

9/21 Portraits of Allison Pfau

Allison Pfau came to the studio for some portraits. We wanted to show off her red hair and bright blue eyes as well as get something a little more dramatic. Thanks to Erica Glaub for make-up and hair!

9/18 Rony's Photo Booth Party @ Royal On Main

Rony and his photo booth came to the Royal Elastics store on Main St. thursday night. With Rony's classic images hanging from the store walls, we tried to capture a few moments of our own. Below, Edwin and Marco celebrate (by triple fisting) the replenished alcohol supplies at the bar. Check the slide show for more.

9/4 Obama SoCal Campaign Office Grand Opening

A friend from the SoCal Obama campaign asked me to come photograph the grand opening of their new LA office. They were expecting 150 people, so imagine their surprise when the total ended up being closer to 1500!! The meeting had to be moved into the parking lot outside where various speakers pumped up the crowd and started getting us ready for the battle ahead. The crowd then moved to the sidewalks where they encouraged passerbys to honk and cheer, all while McCain's speech droned on somewhere in Minnesota. SLIDE SHOW: Want to volunteer? 8/28 DNC- Obama's Speech at Mile High

Thursday's event consisted of Will.i.am and John Legend, Sheryl Crow, Bill Richardson, Al Gore and a bunch of other speakers before Obama blew me and the other 84,000 people away with his speech. I'm talking about tears, laughter, cheers, feet stomping, applause, it was unbelievable. From my spot in the stands it was hard to see the speakers but I shot a few overall venue photos during the speeches. SLIDE SHOW

8/27 DNC- Biden's Nomination

The DNC in Denver was quite an experience. After missing my morning flight due to crazy lines and rushing over to hear Bill Clinton's speech, Tara and Alex helped get me down to the floor for these photos. It was cool to hear Biden's speech and see Obama's surprise appearance up close. Afterward we headed to the California Delegates gala and then to Shepard Fairey's Obama gallery for a sweet acoustic concert featuring Ben Gibbard, Zooey Deschanel and Jenny Lewis amongst others (Zooey pictured above). 8/23 Sara B Tour Day 6

The last night of tour featured Maroon 5 pranking Sara with flowers and wine during her set and Sara's band performing the final song of Counting Crows set, "Hangin' Around." It left a great taste after what had been an unbelieveable few days! SLIDE SHOW Much love to Sara for bringing me on the road again and hopefully there will be more tours to come!

8/22 Sara B Tour Day 5

Day 5 brought us to Chicago and a radio show at The Mix followed by the concert at First Midwest Bank amphitheater. Jesse Carmichael from Maroon 5 joined Sara and band on stage for her awesome cover of The Beatles' "Oh Darlin" (3rd photo down). The Counting Crows closed the night out w/ a sick set, preparing us for the final night of tour in Milwaukee where both bands would come together with Sara for an amazing sendoff. SLIDE SHOW from Chicago.

8/21 Sara B Tour Day 4

The next show was next to a lake in Pittsburgh (see above). The show was amazing and afterward Mickey Madden from Maroon Five grabbed a golf cart and drove us down a "path" to the lake at full speed. It was worth the trek as the moon was rising over the lake and a row boat awaited us. More golf carting ensued ending with a standoff with security. Check my SLIDE SHOW for photos of Sara by the lake and the boating adventure along with her and Maroon Five's performance.

8/20 Sara B Tour day 3

Our only day off came in Pittsburgh. The day started with some crazy french fry filled sandwiches downtown before I ventured off to document Sara performing a 3 song set for a local radio station. We then moved on to dinner and a few buckets of beers before meeting up w/ the Maroon 5 and Counting Crows crew (one of whom stripped down and jumped into a fountain, bloodying his forehead... photos I unfortunately can't show here). On the way back from the bar we stumbled into a karaoke bar where Sara performed a Maroon 5 song on stage to the growing crowd's excitement. After that the DJ put on some of Sara's songs and a bunch of girls got on and started singing them with Sara joining in for a verse. Good times. You can check out all the mayhem in my SLIDE SHOW:

8/19 Sara B Tour Day 2

Day 2 began in beautiful Toronto at an amphitheater on the water. There was a fair nearby so more rides ensued. Photos above include Sara, her mom and Javier enjoying the "Euro Slide," Trey looking excited about his Iced Tea, Adam Duritz introducing Sara as he did nearly every show, Sara, Josh and Javier performing, and the Toronto skyline at sunset. Highlights of the day included a sunset dinner on the patio with Counting Crows music gently toying w/ our ear drums and a great venue and crowd. SLIDE SHOW:
