After 16 hours working on location I rolled to Royal on Main to cover the closing party for Rony's PhotoBooth. Giant pandas, fire engines and stretchers, DJ's, dancing, free drinks. Just your typical Saturday night. Check it all out here (and happy thanksgiving also. we all have something to be thankful for so it's good to take a moment and reflect. and thanks to Sarah Palin for pushing the vegetarian cause with her recent brutal/strange interview).
FoundTrack threw their Fall '08 Release party at the R Bar downtown, featuring 4 DJ's, free grub and CD's, passwords and dancing. Check out my photos from the event and everything FoundTrack on their blog: foundtrack.blogspot.com Thanks to V and Nassir for the dope party and the shout outs on their site! You should check them out if you haven't already... good ish.

Ayda had me come out to shoot some behind the scenes of the powerful indie film Emancipated, directed by P.K. Ziainia (look out for it in a few months). Here is a teaser image and more of my photos will be posted along w/ the release.

Big Geezers was by the far the craziest and most carnival-like Scion gallery opening yet. There were flying darts popping balloons, nerf guns, spinning wheels of fortune, a welcoming party for the early guests, and as always a good DJ and free drinks. See for yourself here: The photos are also featured on Vimby.com.

You can check out my Hardfest photos in galleries on LATimes.com and Metromix. Per popular request I also just added my own gallery w/ 300+ images from the event HERE! The photos should be in the order they were taken, so if you are looking for photos of you (or Justice) later in the night they will be toward the end. Enjoy.

The Orange County Museum of Art had their Biennial opening celebration last weekend, with all kinds of interactive art and artists as well as DJ's, food and a fun afterparty. Above Daniel Joseph Martinez' animatronic self portrait leaps to life with full body convulsions, causing some older OCMA patrons to yell to their significant others, "Is he alive? Honey, DO SOMETHING!"
