4/23 Foundtrack Weekly @ R Bar, plus Nass and Jose's bdays

This weeks Foundtrack/r bar fiesta was especially crazy with 2 bday celebrations (both of whom hit the turn tables to spin some ridic music), a great crowd, live art and free puma gear, siku vodka and bday treats from popcakes! 4/22-4/28 Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP)

Over the last week I have photographed 2 children's art galleries, a teacher of the year award ceremony, a proclamation and a preschool open house for LAUP, a cool public benefit corp with the lofty goal of making high quality preschool available to every child in LA County by 2014, regardless of income. Rather than bore w/ photos from all of these events here is one I shot at the open house which sums up the week. Universal early education is super important so props to LAUP for working as leaders in the field, and to Pres Obama for his support. As with many issues, the future is looking brighter.

Nancy Pelosi @ UCLA's School of Law

I documented Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's visit and amazing speech for UCLA's School of Law Thursday night. She encouraged women to "know their power" before signing books for the audience members. (top: Dean Michael H. Schill, House Speaker Pelosi, and UCLA Chancellor Gene Block)

4/18 Anthem Ranch Coachella Party

I only had time for a drink and a few photos at the Anthem party before heading to the festival, but what a beautiful spot for a party (see the pool, slip 'n slide, and lake above). More of my photos on Foundtrack.com soon.

4/18 Music Loves Fashion Coachella Party

Ah, Coachella. A place to discover music, be blown away by your favorite bands, bask in the desert heat, brave traffic, hang w/ friends, and of course, paaaaarty. I snapped a few photos while we hung out at The Riviera's 'Music Loves Fashion' party Sat morning (after two hours sleep). As you can see, lots of free drinks, t-shirts, food, and bikinis filled the pool area all weekend.
