12/28 Project Blowed 16 Year Anniversary for LA Weekly

growing up in la aceyalone was one of my favorite hip hop artists and i loved his collab with abstract rude (the a-team) so i jumped at the opportunity to photograph them perform along with a bunch of other emcees from the freestyle fellowship, the good life, the shape shifters and tons more at the 16th anniversary of project blowed @ the echoplex. check the photo gallery HERE on laweekly.com. and below is an old school a-team song as well.

12/21 Dum Dum Girls @ Check Yo Ponytail 2 for LA Weekly

check yo ponytail is back! i shot their event last night with headliners dum dum girls who blew me away on this rainy la night. would love to hear their set again when i don't have to worry about shooting. the rest of the night (thrown by iheartcomix, media contender and la record) featured an opening set by abe vigoda and dj sets by glass actor and franki chan. full gallery UP NOW on laweekly.com

12/18 Santa Monica Pub Crawl for LA Weekly

i covered the santa monica pub crawl again for la weekly and managed to hit 11 bars (including Rusty's, Big Dean's, O'Briens, Main on Main, Lulas, Finn McCool's, Ye Olde Kingshead, Britannia, Harvelle's, West 4th/Jane, and Wokcano) amidst the downpouring rain to document the santas, reindeer and gingerbread (wo)men. 12/17 Santa Photo Booth @ R Bar's Holiday Party

12/15 Filter/BMI Holiday Photo Booth

12/14 Holiday Toy Drive @ Sky Bar

Bobby Valentine performed "Slow Down" and some holiday songs during the Toy Drive I photographed for Geoff @ Sky Bar. All the guests contributed to a mountain of toys for the kids including one of my favorite Weeds characters (above). Full gallery here: (password: Toys).

12/11 The Deadly Syndrome and Pity Party @ The Echoplex Christmas Sweater Festival for LA Weekly

exhausted but alive after a full day of santacon i headed straight to the echoplex for their christmas sweater festival. i got there in time to catch the pity party's moving set before the headliners and hosts the deadly syndrome came on. if you don't know them yet you should definitely check them out. full la weekly gallery NOW UP. 

12/11 SantaCon 2010 for LA Weekly

i followed 11 buses filled with over 600 santa clauses, elves and protesting clowns (with signs like those above that read "santa is a corporate pig" and "elves are slave labor") throughout los angeles for the always entertaining SantaCon event saturday. full gallery UP NOW on LA Weekly and you can check my SantaCon photos from 2008 here.

12/6 80+ Photos Featured in Scion Magazine

Scion's latest magazine is titled "I am in Your Life" and it features over 80 images I have shot for them over the last 4 years (along with some from other photographers) including the art gallery openings, house/dubstep parties and metal shows. You can check out a digital version of the magazine HERE but don't expect any photo creds... I gave up on that battle long ago. :/
